We've £13 million to spend on:

  • maximising Edinburgh's economic potential
  • investing in development and regeneration
  • support for businesses
  • supporting people into work or learning
  • providing positive destinations for young people through initiatives such as Edinburgh Guarantee
  • getting best value from working in partnership with the private sector
  • Edinburgh has shown resilience in the face of the recession from 2008
    • continues to perform well compared with other areas in Scotland
  • National and international competition is recovering from the recession
    • Edinburgh must continue to invest and grow to be competitive in attracting investment and jobs while supporting local businesses
  • Work smarter, using technology to deliver services more efficiently
  • Working creatively with partners to jointly deliver services
  • Review service activities and processes
  • Continue to maximise Edinburgh's economic potential by attracting and retaining investment, supporting businesses and people into work and learning
  • Continue investing £0.63 million in Edinburgh Guarantee to support young people and £0.8 million in other employability projects
  • Make efficiencies through greater partnership working and changing the way our services are delivered
